This page facilitates curation of definitions of various modeling and simulation terms. We are looking forward to contributions, particularly to high priority terms (marked by *). Nonetheless, please provide your input even when definitions of a term exist as these may be partial and we need different perspectives to realize consensus to unify the understanding of a given term. You can contribute by:

  1. Login in by using your SimTK account.

  2. Navigate down to the term or phrase you're interested to access the page where you can add to the list of definitions for the term. If a page does not exist, you will be asked to create a page. Please do so using the DefinitionTemplate.

  3. Definition page for each term includes various sections that you can contribute to:

    • Dictionary Definition. Use real dictionary definitions with references.

    • Committee Definition. This section will include definitions of a term proposed and vetted by the Committee.

    • Domain Specific Usage. If your specific domain has a vetted or agreed upon definition for the term, provide in here with references.

    • Notes and Discussions. Raise any issues, comments related to definitions provided by others in this section. If you have a specific, personal way of using a term, describe here with examples.
